Lotte Toko Lelo Maes

Lotte is a photographer and visual artist based in Ghent.

Her work explores intimacy, power and the gaze, how we look at one another and how that look shapes who we become. Through photography, performance and direct encounters, she invistigates.

Rooted in feminist thought, her practice questions how the female body is seen and constructed and searches for ways to exist beyond that gaze.
